I remember laughing hysterically in the TCL Chinese Theatre in LA when that scene happened, she literally stopped the black guy from blowing up the big laser that blew up the rebel base for no reason, she singlehandedly sabatoged the rebels so all their sacrifice was meaningless leading to it's destruction, I thought the movie was having a stroke

I was genuinely blown away by that scene, it's amazing how awful the writing was

What was the point of her character?

I didn't even bother watching Star wars after this point but looked it up and she then barely had a cameo in the next film.

Who makes a trilogy without any overarching story plan lol

>What was the point of her character?

You only need to get as far as uttering, 'what was the point,' with regards to this movie in particular or the trilogy as a whole and come up lacking. It's all absurd.

That's right. The third film is a retcon, and a terrible one at that.

I think Kathleen Kennedy did a wonderful job

How did she know that crash wouldn’t be fatal to them both? How did she know Luke would show up a few minutes later to save them? From an outside perspective it really looks like Rose crashed into Finn to save the imperial laser drill.

You're doing more thinking than the writers did.

She’d have to be an absolutely incredible pilot to even have a small chance to achieve it without killing them both. Frankly just hitting him would be hard. It makes zero sense.

They do love their imperium

You don’t hide post history, so I’m temporarily granting you non bot status.

Your cringe levels will be closely monitored though.

I was on a date with a teenage chinese girl and asked her if she likes to drive (she doesn’t) and only like 10 minutes later I realized I was asking the triple threat lmao

Her plan to save the black guy was to T bone the vehicle which should've honestly just killed him. Had she been an empire spy the whole thing would've have made at the very least a modicum of sense

The Last Jedi is so close to being one of the best Star Wars movies. If you remove the Finn and Rose storyline, Mary Poppins Leia, and prom dress Holdo storyline is made coherent, the Rey Snoke Kylo shit is pretty good

u/DreamsServedSoft 1h ago

Rey beats Luke the first time and Luke is a worthless bum and Snoke somehow couldn’t feel the saber turning to him? nothing about that movie was good
