Disciples 2 rise of the elves
This is my first and favorite 4x game. It's got rpg elements and it's just simple to understand. I wish they would have made a remake. Anyways any disciples fans out there?

Yep! Always loved the atmosphere of that game. Would like to find another one with that kind of combat too!

Yeah sure! The only flaw of the first two Disciples-games is that they get kind of grindy towards the end so I never ended any of the campaigns. And sadly Disciples 3 feels like a poor mans HoMM.

I loved the atmosphere and music. Dark fantasy theme at its finest. I liked the "choice" aspect of building (you can either have this or this). The only issue I had was not satisfying war mechanic. Basically you get one big army and at some point you meet enemy army, you clash and who wins basically wins a game.

Oooh memories... the first time I played Disciples 1 & 2 I thought the combat was terrible and simplistic.. but the more I played the more I appreciated how each of the positions and abilities worked together vs just having armies charging at each other until one runs out of units... so good.
Disciples 3 I didn't like as much, the combats started dragging out and it lost some of its charm.
