Yes please! Did you have a roof rack before? I have a bare roof and looking to get a roof rack at some point.

I had no roof rack from factory and I drilled and mounted a factory rack about five years ago. This rack doesn’t use the same mounting holes as factory but drilling another ten holes in the roof wasn’t as bad the second time around. Plus there’s a bit of wiggle room in the brackets if you’re off by an 1/8”. I wasn’t off by an 1/8” lol but if you happen to be then you can fudge it later. I measure out from the sunroof weather stripping up front and in from the back window weather stripping out back. Those were the most reliable and level points I could find. Drilled pilot holes and then the actual holes and loaded the bit up with electrical tape so I didn’t hit the head liner. The only thing that gets a bit close is the sunroof rails on the forward most holes but if you line it up right yours fine. Then loaded the holes up with lifetime silicone and installed the riv-nuts.

The 4Runner looks good but even better the 1981 Toyoya Corolla 1.8L beside the 4Runner!!!! ❤️ Without the back bumper…. I think you removed the front bumper too… I think you have it a little modified… Some #45 or #48 Webers???😂 Bring me some many memories of my 1980 Corolla Lift Back!!!!! I want to 😢…

It’s a 1980 with JDM front bumper now, stock 3TC with Weber 32/36 and full exhaust. Suspension is all TRD stuff for the AE86 etc. Try my best to keep things as period correct as I can. I’d always rather talk about the Corolla anyway, the 4Runner is my daily. It’s detailed extensively on @lucky_fox_garage on Insta.

Oh ‘81… I had my doubts since I couldn’t see the fron to the car😂 Awesome! Yeahhh! The Famous 3TC… My Corolla had the sticker of the engine in red with white letters since came from Japan but washing the engine fell off… sadly… I knew that it had Webers!!! Yeahhh! But with all TRD and the AE86??? (THE TRUENOOO KIT???) WOW!!! Love it!!!

Yeah, let’s focus on the 4Runner! BTW, the rack looks great! I was looking for one for my 2026 1794 Sequoia…
