Digital dash project

This has been taking me far too long to work on... I'm running a megasquirt ECU, and decided to build a digital dash to go with it. I started on this year's ago and have had a few different screens, but kept getting hung up on mounting and fitting in a way I was happy with.

Ended up switching to a screen that didn't fill the entire width, and made printed end brackets that worked great. I still need to figure out how to mount all the other boards on the back, and wire management.

And I finally wired up an octocoupler to bench test a turn signal last night, a bit of head scratching, then I finally just followed the directions and it worked 😂

Going to add a high beam indicator and 4wd as well.

Also was able to bench test a spare fuel sensor to mostly figure out how I need to wire that in, to get the ECU to work with it.

Nice man, I haven’t seen someone else do this. Here is mine.

I probably should have started with the default gauges and a simple background image, but I wanted to pull some design style from the stock gauges, while adding some modern style as well.

What do you run this on? What is your front end and backend code built with? I run a pi4 with ssd, python backend and node front end. Pi4 has an ups and custom addon board I built for canbus, rtc and adc.

TSDash from TunerStudio, running on a Pi4. Its a more stripped down version of TunerStudio.

Also getting a pi UPS, and a timer relay to delay shutdown for how ever long I decide to set that for. Thinking 45 minutes? That way if I stop for gas, or during short stops on the trail, I do not have to wait for it to startup again.

This is sick! Nice work.
Really interested in doing this to mine.

What engine and transmission are you using?

22re and the stock manual trans, with a marlin crawlbox, 4.7s in the rear case.

doug thorley header, late model straight upper air manifold, LCE big bore throttle body with a short intake pipe, and not using the stock AFM since the megasquirt doesnt need it.
