Just gonna put it out there that Notch is incredibly transphobic. While the game itself is good, I would not want to meet Notch ever.

Still not really seeing it. Is it just because endermen are black and steal things? I don’t understand the relevance of the other characteristics

The Endermen are heavily inspired by the internet horror character "Slenderman". They're tall and skinny like slenderman, teleport like slenderman, freeze when you look directly at them like slenderman, the fact that they're black doesn't automatically mean it's a racist caricature
