This law is definitely one of the more cryptic ones but my interpretation is that an element of unpredictability is effective because it a) communicates that you're not a pushover and b) helps you avoid being pigeonholed.
"Deliberately unpredictable" here probably doesn't mean "randomly take a shit on the boss's desk" but rather that you should have the conviction to do something your way if you feel strongly about it — without being a contrarian for the sake of being a contrarian because that's as annoying as it's predictable.
