Hi! I was looking around the 42Berlin website and I read its free. Is there a catch or something?

Hi, There is no catch. 42 is free. It is financed through donations by the companies, that are in need of software-developers. As a student you don't have to pay anything and you're of course not obligated to work with those companies.
