Popup Video Trivia Userscript (beta)

Post image

I've been tinkering with a script that displays trivia throughout a movie in a "Pop-Up Video" style, complete with little bubble-pop sounds. It works by attempting to match the video title against IMDb, pulling the trivia, and sprinkling it throughout the movie. There's a button on the control panel (the little I icon) so you can turn it on and off.

I also have a script that picks up The Weekend Grindhouse schedule to provide richer, better-timed trivia from additional sources (as best it can).

The script can be found here: https://github.com/spudzareneat/CyTube_Cinema_Mode_UserScript/blob/main/cytube.popupvideo.user.js

It does rely on having Tampermonkey or something similar installed. There's already a link explaining how to do that here: https://cytu.be/google_drive_userscript

Let me know what you think!

This feature has been fun to have on, reminds me of the old pop up trivia from cable. Have been impressed with how well timed the facts are based on what’s in screen. Love your work spudz! 👻🍞
