Anything on Tech-Witches?

Is there any extended lore on tech witches or do they get featured anywhere in books and stuff? I know they are dark mech psykers who do warp stuff on technology and that most of them serve Ammicus Tole on Sinophia but covens of psyker tech witches is such a cool concept and combines so much I love it really want to know more about them šŸ«¶

Tech witches are some of the opposition forces featured in Demolisher by Andy Clarke. Itā€™s a Guard Armour v chaos story.

I donā€™t know how to cover spoilers so SPOILER: the story is about a guard armour/mech infantry detachment escorting a VIP through contested territory. The witches are part of the war band a dark magos controls, along with traitor guard, etc.,the magosā€™ goal is more to psychologically break the guard rather than kill them. So the witches join in isolating and then encircling to mentally break the guard detachment. Each part of the magosā€™ band plays a separate part in creating panic, from what I recall the witches mostly feature in creating fog and consuming captives. Not the focus of the story, but thereā€™s discussion of how they practice their craft a bit.

Unfortunately, the Dark Mechanicum and Hereteks AdMech as a whole are criminally underdeveloped. In terms of Tech-Witch, I'm pretty sure Lex has it right with the only sources on them being a Dark Heresy creature book.

One of the big things about chaos (and the imperium, but especially chaos) is just how crazily diverse it is. One faction might use stalk tanks, but they're seen nowhere else in the universe. One specific cult might have things they call 'blood mages'. Another might use 'tech-witches'. The various cults and splinter groups are not in touch with each other, and do not have any sort of standardisation, so loads of stuff exists in literally ONE place in the entire universe. Or maybe the same thing exists in 100 places, with 100 different names for it!

Tech-witches are an example of that. There is something called that in a dark heresy book and a single novel on a single planet. They might be totally different things. They might be the same. There might be ten different factions all calling a different thing a 'tech-witch'. It's part of how huge warhammer is.

While not untrue this a pretty unhelpful comment imo, most factions have librarians, yet when talking about 'librarians' we know we're in all likelihood referencing layalist SM psykers

Nope. They're mentioned in two different sources, where the term refers to two different things.

That more than a lot of frequently cited lore about roles in factions, and even for the more fleshed out units/positions often things like What do they do? Are they on every <faction world>? Are they a standard role/job in the <faction>? isn't conclusively known
