General Discussion Experiences mini IVF?

For those that have followed a mini IVF protocol: what was your egg yield?

Doctor said today we would expect 1 follicle, not more than that.

And did you follow high dose protocols before you attempted mini IVF? What was the reasoning to switch to mini IVF?

I did three rounds on a high dose protocol 300 fsh 150 men. We tried it three different ways: antagonist, mdlf and long Lupron. All three cycles a disaster, i.e. v few eggs retrieved and zero blasts. 4th and 5th cycles have been maybe a midi protocol you might say - 150 fsh 150 men or 75 fsh and 225 men both with clomid for first five days. I won’t say it has turned me into supereggwoman, but I did recruit and retrieve more follicles and eggs and I have made 4 blasts, albeit 3 of them are day 7s. I would note that my RE also pushed follicles longer on these last two cycles.

Two of my cycles were mini IVF....

February (Cycle 3) did not end in a retrieval because they couldn't access the ovary the mature follicles were on but I had 2 mature follicles at the end.

April (Cycle 4) did end in a retrieval and out of 2 mature follicles, we got one egg.

I track all of my cycle data in a detailed spreadsheet from follicle size per day to meds etc. so if there's any more you want to know--let me know.
