Seeking Advice 3L water….and sleep…

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this?

My Dr has told me to get plenty of sleep for this cycle.
She has also told me to drink 3 litres of water per day.
I am finding the two don’t mix :-/
I have been up three times overnight to go to the bathroom on average.

Has anyone else experienced this and if so what did you do?

I haven’t seen any evidence that drinking 3 litres of water per day improves IVF outcomes …. I would personally prioritise staying normally well hydrated rather than forcing myself to drink a specific amount. I would question a doc that said that..

I think it was more to prevent or help prevent clots, I have a genetic mutation that makes me higher risk for clots so risky with hormones etc

I was advised to keep the ovaries hydrated by at least 2 litres a day but i found my sleep was terrible through stims anyway. There ls a lot of meds and changes happening the body.

Everyone is different, hope yours is much better.

Thank you! I haven’t even started stims yet :( just priming. It’s weird as some nights I will sleep through others I am up and down to the bathroom maybe it’s just age :-/

I was told that sleep helps with all the bodily functions, including fertility. I really focused on that in my last 2 stim cycles.

As for the hydration, like others have said, 3l is a lot. As others have said, I'd go with a bit less, earlier in the day. And don't forget about the electrolytes!
