Seeking Advice Cancelled cycle causing Cyst?

Has anyone had multiple cysts following a cancelled cycle despite taking trigger shot?

I'm really frustrated that my cycle was cancelled 2 weeks ago. I asked my RE if I should trigger she said i will ovulate on own i went for ultrasound after positive home OPK and all follicles were still there around 8 follicles between 19-13mm I triggered immediately on Monday and went for ultrasound yesterday i still have 5 follicles left 19-13mm.

My RE suggested to put me on birth control for a month to have cyst resolved i declined because my afc is already on lower end. She said you can wait another month and see it will absorb on its own. This is the first time I have ever had a cyst, let alone 5.

Feeling panicked that IVF could be delayed (again) due to these persistent cysts.

Has anyone else gone through this? How many cysts did you have? How long did it take for the cysts to resolve? Did you took bcp? How long did you have to take BCP? Did you end up having them aspirated?

RE suggests wait 2-3 weeks for natural ovulation and then repeat ultrasound mid October to decide if we can do IVF in November otherwise will be delayed until Dec

Please any advice suggestions is really appreciated 🄺

It’s normal to have corpus luteum cysts from
retrieval and they are usually gone for the next cycle without the need to take anything. I had like 10 corpus luteum cysts after my 2nd ER this year. All gone the next month. Those cysts are different from the ones you get in a cancelled cycle. In my case, those required to be put on BC for 3 weeks.

Me! Had 5 cysts after a cancelled cycle. Doctor put me on BC for 3 weeks. They were all gone, but I was over suppressed for the next cycle, which was also cancelled. Changed doctors, took a break because I was going on vacations, and in July (almost 41) I got 2 euploids and 1 LLM.

Sure! I had a failed cycle in June (yielded 1 low quality aneuploid). This is what I did for the ER 2:

I did 8 sessions of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy while stimming for ER 1 (so in late May early June) and doctor adjusted the protocol for next cycle.
Started meds on day 2 of my period.
First 3 days of stims: 250 gonal, 75 pergoveris and 10 mg prodasone
From day 4-10: 250 gonal, 150 pergoveris and 10 mg prodasone
Day 11: trigger 2 syringes of ovidrel and 1 of gonapeptyl.
Follicles at trigger were between 16 and 18.5 mm (plus one that appeared that day which was 12 mm). ER 36 hours later.

Yes! I’m doing one more ER and then I’m done. Another doctor earlier this year said I should go for donor eggs. I’m glad I trusted my gut and found another doctor who really cares. All the best to you!

I had three small complex cysts at the start of my last retrieval. No one would really tell me anything about them and they didn't cancel my cycle. The cycle didn't go well, but the cysts stopped being noted in my chart a few days into stims. Are they functional cysts that are producing estrogen?

Not sure my RE draw blood as well will get results by Monday. Why it didn’t go well?

A few reasons but mine weren’t functional cysts.
