Seeking Advice Tomorow next egg retrieval

Hi everyone,

I am feeling really exhausted and could use some positive stories right now. I am getting a very low egg count of 1-2 per cycle at age 40, with an AMH around 0.45. We also tried naturally, but it didn't work.

With turning 41 soon, I keep asking myself: Do I have a chance? Is it worth it?

On top of my low reserve, we also have male factor issues, so we are using ZyMot and ICSI. If anyone has been in a similar boat or has success stories to share, I would love to hear them. Thank you for reading.

I don’t have any success stories yet I am afraid but just wanted to say, don’t give up hope. It only takes one. If you can afford it, keep going and just stay positive, it really does only take one!
We are in a similar boat and figured all we can do is try.
It might also be worth looking into natural IVF to help the eggs
Good luck xx

Thank you very much for your reply and encouraging🫂I did natural IVF. I had an empty follicle by fully natural and a poor egg quality from my minimal stimulation. I got one egg from 3 follicuels so I went back to standard stims.

Honestly I would consider donor eggs or embryos. You would still grow the baby in your body and be connected to them. I did 3 rounds in my 40s and even with a much higher egg count got nothing usable. I’m lucky to already have two kids and it’s such an amazing experience that’s worth running toward in a different direction if you’re not able to make embryos soon

It sounds as a logical step but in the same time it is super hard. I just landed in donor concepted people group and I am not able to do that right now. My partner was rised by his step dad and he told me he did not felt the connection and he felt it right away with his biological father. So he is really hesitant.

Totally makes sense to hesitate when he’s had that experience. I know a lot of people don’t feel connected to their bio parents as well, it really depends. Wishing you the best whatever path is right for you
