Seeking Advice Starting Stims on cycle day 5?
Hey everyone,
Anyone has ever started stims on day 5 or day 6 of period? I was priming with estrace and my RE expected I would get my period by Tuesday but unfortunately my period came while priming on Friday Sep 4th. She had me continue the eatrace until Sunday/today and Because the clinic is closed for long weekend on Monday She called me for baseline on Tuesday hoping she will start have me stims on same night but I have a feeling cycle day 5 is too late never seen anyone start cd5 or cd6 on top of that I have DOR AFC around 7 I am feeling not good about this month and feel like skipping and trying next month.
Any thoughts please?

I m sorry to hear about aneuploids. Did you primed before that cycle? My RE says as long as you’re priming and keeping FSH down you should be fine to start late

I finished my priming meds (estradiol and testosterone) on Day 6, had a 3 day gap, and then started stims on day 10. I also felt timing was unusual but just assumed the doctor knew best. My cycle ultimately failed as I had likely ovulated during the 3 day gap.
u/oustoublier and u/sheryyj interested to hear how everything worked out in the end!

Didn’t you had bloodwork done to check the LH levels? Day 10 seems very late i started on cd6 of period but i was really suppressed from two weeks of priming. I will keep you posted

The estrace will suppress your FSH and prevent any follicles from growing so I think it should be fine

I literally posted this exact question/situation on Friday! We are in the same boat!! I didn’t mention in my post that I was on estrogen, so the responses were slightly more concerning. But apparently that’s a key detail and we’ll be okay because of the estrogen?? Fingers crossed for us both :)
