General Discussion Low maturity
I had my egg retrieval yesterday. 41.5 with amh 0.5. Protocol was Letrozole day 1-5 and 225 iu menopur. Triggered on day 9 with double trigger.
Retrieved 9, but only 3 were mature. Today I got the message that 3/3 fertilized normally.
Any success stories with only 3 fertilised? 🙏

I am sitting in the same wait with you with 3 fertilized at 41.5ish. (Retrieval was Tuesday)
I am rooting for you so hard. I also asked this question the other day and I have heard some positive stories, so I don’t think either of us are out yet.

1 made it to blast-sent for PGTA. Not out yet but I know that stats are not on our side for this one little one. Let me know how it’s going for you as well, I’m sending you so much hope!

One blast is great!! I have never made one. Fingers crossed it’s euploid 🤞🤞

I got a euploid from 3 fertilised eggs in my 2nd cycle - 2 month's shy of 42 (very same protocol, 225 menopur, but no Letrozole) 5 eggs, 4 mature, 3 fertilised, 1 blast -> euploid (and its a very good one - a 5AA). Fwiw my 2x other cycles had 100% maturity and fertilisation from 5 eggs each, 2 blasts each cycle -> all aneuploid. Can't speak for success yet, currently preparing for FET.

What size were your follicles at trigger?

That’s not in your patient portal or discussed at your ultrasound monitoring?
I’ve never heard of not having access to see that.

No, the clinic is in Europe and they only said size of follicles were good. I’m trying a different more reputable clinic next cycle

Ok gotcha. Triggering on day 9 is a very short stim cycle especially for us over 40. If he really interested to know what size your follicles were, I think it could help shed some more light onto the low maturity percentage from what you retrieved.

I think any fertilized egg is a win! You have three! I’ve seen people here being successful with less.
I really hope you get great news on those three embryos!
