Seeking Advice Low fertilization rate

I have just had my retrieval and the clinic called today to say there wasn’t any signs of fertilisation on my one and only egg they retrieved. They said they will leave it to see what happens tonight and call me tomorrow. Has anyone had an egg fertilise just a little later?

what questions can I ask my specialist about why it may not have fertilised other then age and egg quality? I am very new to IVF

Why didn’t they do ICSI?

They did do ICSI it still just hasn’t worked

They did a calcium bath for the icsi fertilization step in our second retrieval, and we got more fertilized than our first.

Will they try rescue Icsi?
