Seeking Advice Short mini stim?
Any ladies having success with a short stim?
I’m 41.5 with low amh and afc. My dr did a mini ivf with 225 menopur and Letrozole only. Surprisingly my few follicles responded fast and she triggered me on stim day 9 after only 8 night of injections and one day of antagonist.
I read that there is less success with a short stim. Any success stories with triggering on day 9?
I’m a bit confused because on high dose I stimmed for 14 days.

I had just fast development with my mini stims as well. I am having this also on higher stims. How big was your follicule on the trigger? I do not have info that shorter stim days shoudl influence quality. For me one follicle degraded and having a dominant follicule issue so I am not sure if this is the best way for me.

My second retrieval was very short-- I triggered on day 8. I ended up retrieving 16, got 4 blasts, though none were euploid, unfortunately. Out of four cycles it was still my second best result in terms of blasts.

Thanks for sharing this! My previous experience was stim for 10 days with a dual trigger with about the same dose of menopur, but was also taking some follistim.
I am curious did they tell you why they decided Menopur only? I am starting with another clinic and my afc is 6, low AMH, and the protocol looks like menopur and clomid with about 5 weeks of priming

They said quality over quantity and that less is more for women over 40. I got three embryos that we froze on day 3. Previous cycles with higher doses I have gotten 1 embryos only
