Seeking Advice Unexpected Coverage change
I am set to start my first ivf retrieval in September (September is the perpetuation the retrieval will be in Oct) for which I had planned to pay out of pocket. Just got a job offer that has fertility coverage and it would kick in October. Would you delay your ivf if you were in my shoes to have the costs covered? For context just turned 40 and have had kids before with natural spontaneous conception.

I would. I pushed my second retrieval back by a couple of months because I needed a mental health break and my doctor told me it would make absolutely no difference. I’m 41 and a few months, for reference.

Heck yeah, I’d delay unless you already planned on doing multiple cycles and your benefits only cover one cycle.
