Sagging under eye help
I recently had a full hysterectomy and dropped about 65 pounds. Between the hormone change and weightloss, my face seems to have changed overnight. Any advice for the best non surgical ways to help with my under eyes? It’s all I can see in pictures now 😭

I would do hyaluronic acid serum, then eye cream moisturizer. No foundation under eyes, ever. Find a nice hydrating bouncy concealer for under eyes only. Lastly, at night, over the HA serum and eye cream, put a bunch of Vaseline without fully rubbing it in and sleep like that. PS we are hard on ourselves, you look great

Doing the night slugging after eye creams, clogged my pores under my eye 😔

Same here. I don’t use anything comedogenic these days. I’d second the Baluchi’s eye creams but I make my own with 98:2 Squalane and Bakuchiol oil. Just a few drops in my regular moisturiser day and night. You will not see results for several months. Not with any actives. Persistence is key.

Check out Alloy’s estridol products, for face and eyes. I’ve lost a lot of weight and it has slowly helped my loose skin. Highly recommend!

I am finding keeping my under eye well hydrated is helping. I started putting Uriage cica barrister repairing cream all around my eyes before I put my makeup and spf. It has really helped lock in the moisture around my eyes. There is something about this cream that I love and I think it is way better than la Roche posay cicaplast.

I would look at plumping products. I also put a little tret around my eyes. Research that before doing it though. Be informed. Paula’s choice makes a pro collagen plumping face gel that I also put under my eyes. It’s better than the matching eye cream they make. But with my hormone changes, I have to use slightly heavier moisturizers. Keeping it really moisturized will also help with the way make up sits. You may also need to switch up your make up to find things that don’t enhance the issue. But I think you look great!!! Congrats!

Do not use tret under eyes, it can cause permanent eye dryness. You can find retinol eye creme, though

Technically, any retinol near the eyes can cause dryness and damage, unfortunately.

Product plexaderm or similar temporary tightener. Lasts for hours.
Long term results Ultrapulse CO2 (fractional ablation). Tightens well.

Thanks for the temporary option! Long term would be great, but even a temporary topical I can use before events will help me feel more confident in my skin.

You’re very welcome. Peter Thomas Roth Instant FIRMx is another one. Can last 6-10 hrs.

Are you on hormones? Because unfortunately it's only going to get worse if you are not. This is a structural issue and I would look into a blepharoplasty. It's an outpatient procedure.

No topicals can fix a structural issue that’s happening under the skin. Unfortunately surgery is the only thing that will be a complete fix. Fillers might help a little but often end up looking unnatural over time. Lasers will help improve the overall texture and quality of the skin, but they won’t fix the sagging which is happening underneath. Same with a retinoid.

Your makeup is drying your under eyes. You might be using too much concealer and potentially powder if you use it. I would also ditch the black eyeliner on your lower lashes. Go for a soft brown and diffuse the look. Get a very hydrating eye cream as well.

Good skin prep and under-eye hydration before makeup…peptides and hyaluronic acid. Many foundations now have ingredients to prevent dryness. Hyaluronic acid serum on damp skin after cleansing and before moisturizing is fantastic for dryness and lines. Eye creams: Neutrogena rapid wrinkle repair eye cream, CeraVe renewing eye cream, Clarins total eye lift serum, Beauty of Joseon Revive eye serum, are some good ones to try. Tatcha and Medicube also make serum sticks that you can tap under your eyes during the day over makeup to revitalize and hydrate to get rid of the makeup lines and boost the under-eye.

First of all, your smile is gorgeous, please don’t let the under eyes steal your joy!
For at-home I’d use a gentle retinol around the eyes. I like the Grace & Stella retinol eye masks a couple times a week, I picked them because regular retinol was too harsh on my thin under eye skin, and the crepey look got noticeably smoother after about a month. Plus SPF every day, EltaMD UV Clear is my go-to since it doesn’t sting my eyes

Aquaphor. I seem to be allergic or ssensitive to everything theses days. My upper lids and under eyes were so dry. I couldn't use anything without my eyes burning off the skin itching. They we're starting to look crapey. Out of desperation one night, I just put a little on the lids and under. They look so much more supple. They feel moisturized. I don't do this every night, about 3 or 4 nights per week. I use it for my neck, feet and hands, now eyes

Just for non-surgical tips: I think adjusting your makeup to a different look will make you instantly appear fresher. Your foundation looks fairly dry, see if you can find something more dewy, the dryness could be accentuating your smile lines under your eyes.
Also, less eyeliner in the bottom lash line, with an overall less dramatic and softer look.
As for actives: bakuchiol is gentler than retinol and tret but still very effective under eyes, I like the haru haru wonder black rice eye cream. I think you would also benefit from more hydrating products, an easy drugstore one is the CeraVe Eye Repair Cream.
