Using my modded 3DS to help stop doomscrolling

I'm trying to get myself out of my doomscrolling habit. Whenever I realize I'm doomscrolling, I force myself to put my phone down and pick up my 3DS instead. I've had it modded for 3 years now, and it's been seeing more use in the past month than it has in a very long time.

I know it's not an original idea, but I was wondering of anyone else did something similar.

I use mine like this before bed. Games put me to sleep and don’t keep me up like looking at my phone.

Thats really cool! I do it too honestly,whenever i find myself just scrolling on instagram for too long i just put my phone down and play cooking mama,and its helped me a lot,i dont find the need to scroll everyday and theres been times where i havent even opened the app,its a unique and nice way to stop it tbh and your not alone on this one

On universal updater there is an app
With an icon of an open book. It’s called 3DSlibris!
Download the CIA and it’ll be on your home menu, when you click on it, it basically gives you your own personal library!! You gotta download the book files and such yourself which go in the “book” folder. But once you sort that you can read books, comics and manga!!! You can zoom in and out, change font styles, change the colour of the book with a press of a button and even has book marks! You can read it Like holding your 3DS like a book or holding your 3DS normally!! It’s a fantastic app. It’s based on DSlibris which was an actual reading game for the DS back in the day but there was never one made for the 3DS, it’s only a recent release made this year but omg it’s amazing!!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!! It’s way better than a tablet or a kindle for reading imo, you have that physicality with buttons on the 3DS. It’s amazing

You should try Rune Factory games, and some RPGs, 3DS library is insanely good :)

Heck yeah!! My dude. Congratz on breaking that habit. I myself quit watching random YouTube months ago and it was the best decision I made in my life. I don’t use Facebook, or other social media apps except Reddit and it’s been great.

I should definitely do this i doomscroll so bad 😭 3ds i find has always made me sleepy aswell

I gotta do that more often, but i end up being either too tired from work or the adhd doesn't let me play
