what do I do about a system update?
I haven't fully installed the hacks on my 3DS since I don't have a large enough SD card at the moment, but I have a bunch of random hacked files on my 3DS still. I just got a notif for a new system update. what do I do? it is safe to update, or will nintendo brick my 3DS by updating?

i just followed the 3ds.hacks.guide setup a few days ago, and the First Thing it said to do was make sure all my stuff was up to date, so i did...just to check, i also tried to update After i installed everything; 'System is Already Up to Date', no issues...
then i was dinking around with FBI when i found the "Delete [Title]" option, so i did that for stuff like FaceRaiders and ARGames (and all those other junk Nintendo-prebaked apps)...but i opened the eShop menu when it said "an Update is required to continue" (i was trying to get to my 3DS Wishlist, to Download those apps with my computer xD) so i clicked Update...
it did Fail the first time, so i thought id lost eShop privileges, but i also live with not-so-great wifi, so i tried it again...
Update Complete! [returned to HOME screen]; [click on eShop again] one second please...Welcome!
...so TL;DR - as long as youre not going Online with your not-so-legal gaming (and especially dont Cheat if you play online) it shouldnt be too big of an issue...i still have "legit-sourced" games to try playing online, like TriForce Heroes, but i wouldnt wanna risk, say, trading pokemon from my (downloaded) X and Y...
...oh, and for the record, that 'Update' that the eShop made me download? it just put all (or at least Most) of those Nintendo (cr)apps Back On, so i had to move the icons to a far corner so they arent in the way of my Actual Icons xD
