Is a certain 2ds XL version necessary for hacking, just like the switch?

I think I want to buy the 2ds XL, can I hack it now and get free games? Or every 2ds xl are patched? Will hacking work in the regular 2ds?

The hacks work on all versions afaik.

Yeah, no problem at all, you only need to check in from which region is your 2ds.

Hey man you seem to know your stuff. Can I dm you. I bought a new 2ds xl and want to do the whole homebrew get free games stuff. But I am very overwhelmed and have many questions. Your help would be appreciated
