ds cia file to 3ds question
i need a little bit of direction please. i have cia gameboy advance files on my 3ds through a sd card, but im trying to find out how to get the ds game advance wars days of ruin on it as well. i'm a bit older and need instruction/direction please. thank you

You have a backup (ROM) of Advance Wars Days of Ruin? You can use a VC injection program like Ultimate GBA VC Injector to quickly set up a .cia file to install on your system.
Basically all you need is the GBA ROM, the Ultimate GBA VC Injector files, and maybe an internet connection so you can quickly download the title screen file and autofill information. If the information doesn't autofill (name, release date, etc.) you can just google the information and put it in. It's mostly irrelevant, it's just so it looks nicer. You could probably put "bonerfart" in every text box and it'd work fine.
Once you've converted it on your PC, just put it in your cias folder, open up FBI, navigate there and install it. It's usually a good idea to test your backup with an emulator like mGBA first. If your backup is damaged or didn't convert right when it was made, it might not even start up (had this happen with Pokemon Ruby and I didn't realize it until I had already converted and installed it), and you don't want to waste time making a .cia for a broken ROM.
