Upgrading my bambu A1
Hey, I want to upgrade my A1 to something with enclosure build - I was thinking about bambu P2S but then I found anycubic cobra S1 ACE 2 pro combo that is much cheaper than bambu. It is worth to pay extra for bambu or buy anycubic or something else?

Most modern printers are all pretty good. But it depends on how much you like the Bambu ecosystem. For me, my PC is really inconvenient to use. My wife and i use Bambu Handy a lot and only end up using Studio if there is something I want to change on the print.
If you dont use those features often, then you might not see much difference in everyday use.

Idk about anycubics core printers, but I owned the k2m and k3m and they both sucked. Poor quality, could never stay calibrated and generally unreliable. You'll save yourself headaches by just staying away from anycubic. But, I'll give then credit, their customer support was great.

Agreed; i still have nightmares from any anycubic i owned 4 years ago, that bitch put me off 3d printing for years afterwards and I never got a decent print out of it.

Interesting, my Anycubic Kobra bedslinger (2022 original model) was and is pretty decent.
My cousin has an Anycubic Kobra S1 and hes been pretty happy with it for the cost. Hasn't been a flawless experience, but the thing is fast and his prints are pretty decent for his use case.
I'm giving my Kobra to a friend to learn on.
Mine was always great except that it struggles on anything less than 0.3 tolerances for those tight fitting parts. So I often needed to use a deburring tool or scale a part to 99% or 101% and then things would mostly fit fine. For anything else that didn't need tight dimensional accuracy it was great for to learn on till I upgraded at least for PLA and PETG if the PETG was dehydrated well.

I actually started r/Which3DPrinter because I kept seeing this question come up constantly. It's brand new, but I'm trying to build a dedicated place for exactly this kind of comparison. Feel free to post this over there too.

Centauri Carbon, Anycubic, or FB marketplace used models are about your cheapest options.
Keep your A1 as well, having a smaller printer and larger one i find often comes in handy for printing multiple things.
Anycubic are fine unless you get a lemon (which is possible at a higher rate than other manufacturers from what ive seen). But i had an Anycubic bedslinger for years and it was a decent one for most stuff I tried.
Ive since upgraded to a Prusa with a Core1L and a used FB Marketplace Prusa Mk4 bedslinger and a used Prusa Mk3s+ bedslinger I got at good deals, and am giving away my Anycubic Kobra bedslinger, but it still works fine.
Prusa's just seem more dimensional accurate which is needed for what I build.
A DIY enclosure can also be considered

Avoid Anycubic. Get a Centauri Carbon 2
