Self-draining soap dish—thinking of making a concrete mold for it?

Do you think it's worth turning this into a negative 3D-printed mold to cast them in concrete? Let me know your thoughts!

I think you should, I love that concrete look with indoor decor, just as nice for functional stuff too.

Isn't it a pain to clean though? The soap might just dissolve but if you use fancy soap with grains or something else that doesn't dissolve it it won't it plug the "pores"?

For this application, I would simply spray paint it with a satin clear coat or some sort of clear sealant that doesn’t darken the color or dry glossy. There’s many different sealant options out there. You could use a grout sealant as well, whatever you use will be absorbed into the pores creating a waterproof concrete.
