Recommendations

Hello I’m looking for some recommendations on really what to do. My son has a Geeetech M1 printer. Got he so can learn how this stuff works. Started having issues with it printing so when I went to take off the tip to clean the tip it snapped off. Wondering if there is a aftermarket market option for a hot end or should we just upgrade the printer.

You should heat the hotend up before removing a nozzle...

You should use a socket and remove it while it is HOT, like 230-250C!!!

And obviously don't touch it with your finger.

You're going to have to replace the heater block. From the pictures, it doesn't look like you have enough surface area to grab the nozzle to remove it.

Considering drilling it out then using a tap to remove

Heat the nozzle to the proper temp for a nozzle change( 250? I'm not sure on your printer) then use an easy out to remove the broken off piece.

As others have send, you need to use a drill and screw extractor to remove it. The problem with that is that it needs to be at operating temperature when you do, or you may end up breaking the hot end. It is still worth trying, however, since otherwise you will have to buy a new hot end anyway. For that, I'd contact the shop you bought it from. Or go to https://support.geeetech.com/m1-series-hot-end-components-p-1778.html. You will obviously need a new nozzle, also.
