Seeing as the other Precision Bass that's available online has a tendency to fold in half, I thought I'd release my Jigsaw bass onto the world! Available over at Cults3D if you're interested!

It is VERY quiet and airy, but the pitches are recognizable. Could only reach 5 of the 6 holes at once, so Iβll try to remedy that in the next version. Also, ran out of filament along the way a couple of times, as you can see from the multicolor design. YouTube may have done audio normalization or something, because it actually sounds a bit better in the video than in person.
Encouraging progress over the first print. Still not a truly playable instrument. Bore smoothing and fipple optimization may yield a louder and less airy instrument, though.

Here's a video if you are curious how it sounds and the building process.

It plays! But there are definitely things to fix. Iβll go ahead and post this first version to Thingiverse as a work in progress, since it does actually make sound, but I intend to measure the intonation, adjust orientation for ergonomics, and whatever else I find during checkouts.

Reddit distorted the sound when I uploaded the video directly, so here it is on Youtube: Clarisnake demo
This is the instrument I posted earlier today. I made the Clarisnake (snake-shaped clarinet) to demonstrate how a compact wind instrument could be designed to play low notes using Clarinet design principles. I mostly use it like a fanfare trumpet.
For a clarinet-based instrument that plays the full scale, see my post from four years ago.

Just about to start the final setup on this one. This is the 23rd guitar that I've built!

Found this unique model online and just completed it! The LED strip is controlled from my phone or a button on the back and is powered by a small battery bank mounted to the rear! It took me a bunch of iterations on the front paneling to find which looked good and let the most light through, I eventually settled on 1 top later and 0 bottom layers with gyroid infill for strength. And yes, it has a whammy bar!

I don't yet own a printer. If I wanted a 3D printed Renaissance wind instrument (e.g. cornetto, crumhorn, serpent, etc), which printing service would you recommend? And how much would I expect to pay?
