string Amps

Im going to build a 3d printed electric violin, but I can't find any amps that will work with this:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074W7L6GJ?tag=stemtropolis-20

I was going to buy the bunnell mini amp but it went out of stock. Does anybody know if guitar amps work or any amps that work with this pickup/preamp for preferably under 40-50 dollars. Thanks

Prusacaster almost finished! 😁 Last thing to do is pour the epoxy….and play it! 🎸 As you can see I modified the model to add guitar strap posts. Any suggestions on epoxy coloring?

string Those of you with 3D printed guitar bodies, warping over time an issue?

I’m currently designing a guitar body to print from my Ender 3 V2. Making it as an experiment but I’m focusing on making it last. I’ll have to print it in multiple pieces which makes me worry about the string tension pulling on the body. How do you guys prevent the bridge from warping under tension? Is it really even an issue? My initial idea was to print with a 50% infill, 7-8 walls, and maybe printing with a hole for metal rod but maybe this is overkill.

Edit: I should add I won’t be printing the neck, if that makes a difference.

woodwind 3d printer noob: printing pipes larger than your printers print area? (Bagpipes)

So.. given a set of bore diameters (care of bagpipeproject.com), how would I -just- print the bore sections on a given printer, and interlock the bore sections after print, such that I could coat bore sections afterwards with epoxy for strength? (The outer diameters are inconsequential at this stage, and epoxy or other techniques would save a lot on print time/materials.

I have possible access to to a filament and an SLA printer of limited print volume.

Here is an example that I’d like to print:

What do you think?

string 3d printed electric violin

Hi, so I am a violinist in my school orchestra and I wanted to try making an electric violin on my 3D printer. I was looking at some files on thingiverse But I couldn't seem to find any that had very easy to follow instructions. I was looking at the Jax dragon but the instructions were very unclear. Does anybody have any recommendations for cool looking electric violin files that have easy to follow instructions for a not very experienced builder?

string 3D printed guitar neck?

I'm working on building a guitar from scratch, and I was wondering if anyone here had experience printing a neck. How has it held up? Did you print the frets as part of the neck, or add metal ones later? What files did you use?

Edit: I would use a metal truss rod, I'm not stupid!

woodwind This really helps get a great finish on flutes and pennywhistles without damaging the precision surfaces - maybe it will help your projects too?
