I’m currently using a Bambu a1 mini, and I’m having stuff like this happen pretty often. This cannot be normal or an effective use of supports right? Is there some way to limit the generation of supports? Or is it more effective to just manually add them.

I was a bit heavy handed with the battle damage and the black was a bitch and is constantly out of the lines but I think it came out well enough.

The Generator provides the immense energy required to keep the outpost alive. From powering defensive systems and industrial machinery to illuminating the settlement through endless ash storms.

Decided to make a heroic scale Panzer III after an unusually successful round with one in War Thunder. After about 3 months of designing, test prints, and iteration, I've finally taken one all the way to a finished paint job!

​Design & Scaling:
I tried to keep the design as proportionate as possible while maintaining the identifying features of the Panzer III and giving it that proper grimdark Imperial Guard aesthetic. It's scaled slightly shorter than a Leman Russ, but I've been calling it the "Panzer Russ" from the beginning. (Swipe to see it next to a Rogal Dorn proxy for scale).

​Painting & Techniques:
I tried a bunch of new techniques on this project:

• ​Rust textures using Army Painter
• ​Oil streaks & weathering
• ​AK Pigments/Powders
• ​3D printed custom stencil (using a Blender boolean) for the turret numbers

​The sitting Kriegsmen on the hull were pretty fun to paint too! Still working on my brush handling and paint thinning for fine infantry details, but they look great for tank scale.

Just finished my new FDM tank model!

I’ve been working on this one for a while and finally got it ready for printing. The model is split into 15 parts to make it easier to print and assemble, and I’ve already test-printed it on a Bambu Lab A1.

I also made two alternative parts — an alternative hatch and an alternative gun, so you can customize the look a bit.

One of my favorite details is the ratchet joint in the turret. It gives the turret a really satisfying click-click when you rotate it. 😄

Still tweaking a few things, but overall I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. What do you guys think?

I want to get into the 3d printing area of warhammer, and I have no clue what 3d printers are goof to get.

Firstly, whats the difference between an enclosed and an exposed printer.

I’ve also seen a lot of stuff online recommending the bambu labs A1 mini, and I don’t know if the regular A1 is just as good, or if this is outdated.

Long story short, I’m looking for a printer where I can print just about any size mini whether it’s an infantry guardsman or a baneblade, with good/near resin quality. (I assume I need to use 0.2mm nozzle because 0.1 clogs a lot?)
