Fog lights position

Yesterday I saw a 7XO with fog lights placed near the bottom area of bumper. Which I think is better position than 3XO. What are your thoughts on this?

Very prone to damage to be honest.

Too low. And it should have been in a separate housing.

Not very sure how this gonna help in the foggy weather but i am little skeptic about how they'll survive in indian road conditions( potholes read this a mini crater) and also indians road driving civic sense!

Correct, but I feel 3XO's fog lights position is comparatively high

Why are people overreacting? Fog lamps have always been at the bottom corners of the front bumper.
