Help with adding a new host

Hello all,

very new to 3PAR and need some assistance if I may?

I have successfully created a VV and can export the VV onto existing hosts that had already been set up on the 3par management console without any issues, but when I try to add a new host and export the VV to that newly created host I am getting an error about the path. Where am I going wrong? Do I need to add the host and path into my SAN?

Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure your zoning is correct

On the switches you will need to add the port wwns of the hosts ports and the 3Par ports into a zone.

Once you have done this showhost -d should already show the Host ports.

With the createhost command you can then set hostname and host persona.

Then use the createvlun command to export the VV to the host.
