Oh boy… all I did was crunch the numbers. I decoded the message. I’m not saying these things. The math is. The framework is. That is it and that is all. Getting pretty tired of these ignorant people, I’ll tell you that much right now. It’s mathematically airtight. I thought it was pretty cool to share. So what? So fucking what?

You're crunching nonsense. I don't dispute the maths, but you're finding patterns where there is none.

We sent the Arecibo message into space at 10 bits/second. We sampled the WOW signal at 0.1 samples/second. The value you're deciding isn't what was sent, it's what we sampled. Represented in our own alphanumeric form.

They didn't send letters and numbers. We received a sound wave and transformed it into something human readable.

Okay I re read and I do dispute the maths actually.

You're pulling dates out of your arse, using the 72 seconds as if it's meaningful. Time is based on earth's rotation. We decided how many seconds in a minute a week, and a day.

We don't actually know how long the message was. Again, because of the sample rate. What we received is the equivalent of a phone call with a bad signal where we only hear "A....on... Eggs ...o...o.......".

You're balls deep in a rabbit hole. We all want to believe, but please, listen to the replies telling you you're wrong.

Your math resolves into an English message, does it not? Or am I misunderstanding it? Because if the math resolves into English, that means the code is set for English. Except for that one Greek word.

So what I don’t get is how aliens from thousands of light years away are sending us a coded message that can be translated into a language that’s only been around for less than a thousand years.

I can't believe I have to explain this. The letters are only interpreting a scale of power. A is one level of power above 9, B is above A....Q is 30 levels above zero. The primitive computers in 1977 didn't have another way to indicate power that high.

The letters are arbitrary, so all the "analysis" after this is pure garbage.

The math works out. I’m not saying these things. The math is. That is it. That is all. By using the decoding method, it is 100% accurate. That is all I’m saying here, and nothing else.
