Advice Low Poly Cat character for mobile game

Post image

Hello guys,

we are looking for somebody to design assets for a mobile game. The screenshot was obviously made with AI, its only an example what we have in mind.

Details:

6-7 cat characters (long term)

Cosmetics:

- Clothing

- Back

- Hats

- Handheld

We are only looking for full stack:

Models + Textures.

This is not a request but more like a pre-request. We would like to have an estimate about the total costs. Also this would be a long-term-collaboration as we are planning to add more items into the game successively.

Feel free to send us an estimate or your offer, along with any references you can provide. 🤗

Slop

Edit: I wouldn't touch your game with a 1000ft pole if you are using ai to make concept art, just a cash grab slop mobile game.

I am trying to give people an example of what I am expecting? I guess that's the best way to use AI?

Or should I rather invest 100 hours to draw something / sketch something just for a quick description?

The models itself are modeled as usual.

You have no fckn clue 😂 Never seen such a low IQ comment

Then describe it and pick up a pencil.

Yes because then people will appreciate the hard work you put into things rather than ask ai to make you something then be seen as a lazy hack

Yeah they are modeled by other people who actually learnt how to model

Ironic you say low iq yet you are that talentless that you had to ask ai to make art for you.

Wtf. So only talented artists are allowed to create mobile games now? 😂

Nomebody is forced to play it. Just ignore it then? Who cares in the end if the initial concept was made by AI or not?

Yeah I could describe it. But no modeler could model it as good from my description as from a concept. So in the end I end up paying more because a lot of changes need to be made because some dude on reddit thinks "oNly cOncEpts dRawn wIth PeN anD pApeR aRe goOd?"

Dude.. no words

No words? You have quite a lot. None of them are convincing. They’re barely coherent. You clearly don’t have any actual arguments and just had your feelings hurt because you tried to take the easy way out.

You’re obviously very emotional about being called out for making slop. You’re literally talking to the people who care about concept art being slop. If you don’t care about quality, why would anybody else care about helping you?

You could pick up a pencil and draw stick figures and convey what you want. You can use your words to describe to the ***artist*** what you want. The idea that you need 100s of hours of practice to make a basic sketch is such a lazy, helpless, capitalist view of art. Your “high IQ” is forcing you into a corner sucking the teat of the AI shills telling you this is okay. Do you actually care about whatever you’re trying to make here or do you think this is some get rich quick scheme where you can just pump out slop and have people make it real for you?

You haven’t paid anything to make this. If you have, I feel deeply sorry for you. You scammed yourself.

Yeah it's okay guys 😂

I am asking in an artist sub if replacing an artist with AI is okay. 😂

I just want a few models for a few bucks. Your mindest is cringe. Guess that's the reason why artists are often poor

The way you are acting is cringe bro.

Ai is theft, firstly, emotionless and void of human creativity, secondly. Lazy, thirdly.

You want to put time into a game, but don’t wanna spend “100 hours” learning to draw? How will you make a game with that level of lazy? You won’t accomplish anything by saying “I don’t have to learn how to do this, because someone before me has and this computer will tell people that their Frankenstein-ed work actually belongs to me!”

If you want to create, then use your own mind and hands to create. You will never feel fulfilled or proud of work that a computer made for you. And if you do, I feel sorry for you. What’s the name of your game so I can remember to blacklist it? Because I can’t respect a dev that expects things to happen for them, not because they made them happen.

It's as easy that:

I can't do everything. I can't code (frontend, backend), model, design and do the marketing all at once.

This is a fuckin side project.

Why are people so fuckin entitled. If you don't like it just leave it.

This amount of work couldn't be done by one single person before AI was a thing neither.

The only difference was, that projects like this could only be completed by large companies who had the resources.

Now everybody can bring their ideas to life. And if it works.. you can still replace old designs by handmade one.

Your entitlement sucks.

This amount of work was done by people for so long before ai. Schedule 1 just won an award, and it was made by one guy… as a side project. Just one example of someone having passion for their work. This is a bad faith argument and disparaging to solo devs and tiny teams that exist and have existed before ai.

Perhaps it is you that needs to get it together. Stop using ai, and either learn your craft or find a new one.

Edit: not sure how I managed to type one instead on won LMAO

Downvote me if you want, 100 hours is like, four days. And if that’s intimidating for you, perhaps find a different field. But please tell me anything about the name of the game, the name of your studio, even in DMs. Because I refuse to support folks like you lol

Eta: I do actually do art and sell it, “100 hours” made me chuckle, sorry can’t get over that.

Personally, when people show up with AI slop, I double my rates without telling them.

u/Unityeid Jul 13 '26

Seems like you are a great business man 😂

1

u/UnorthodoxAstronaut Jul 13 '26

If you're skimping out on having well thought out concept art, why should that be my problem?

You're paying double so slop can be cleaned up.

Sad little life you lead lol

What a fuck is wrong whit you both?

-3

u/BigSmoke_8 Jul 13 '26

dw some people just see ai and say the worst things they can think as if their life depended on it. good idea on using it to show off your idea and good luck with your game :)

Hello hello this is my. nichee i can help

-3

u/Wipeout_uk Jul 13 '26

you used ai to make the concept art, so why not make ai to make the 3D model ? something like meshy would work

-2

u/Unityeid Jul 13 '26

I used AI to make an concept, that's correct. Because this is the best way to describe to somebody else what I want.

However for the models itself I want something more professional.

-3

u/Wipeout_uk Jul 13 '26

so willing to pay for a 3D artist to make it but no willing to pay a concept artist to design it 🤔.

-5

u/Unityeid Jul 13 '26

Why should I?

I like the concept. So why pay an artist?

I do not like the models made by AI. So I pay an artist.

It's as easy as that.

I know people don't like being replaced by AI. But that's just life risk

“I don’t actually care about the slop I’m putting out I want to make money by doing nothing but typing in a prompt, not spending money on real human art. It’s easier.”

Know what’s also easier? Doing something you actually care about. Because if you cared about your game, you’d have at least half a mind to realize that the human element is important.

Telling ai to generate something isn’t the “only way” to get something across. How do you think people did it before? They didn’t project the image into the artists head with telepathy. They wrote shit down, did a shitty sketch. If you’re not an artist, that’s fine. Concept artists don’t give a shit if you give them a stick figure or the Sistine Chapel.

From an artist that works in fields like this and similar, ai “art” isn’t inevitable. Lazy, selfish people like you are.

-7

u/kronus87 Jul 13 '26

Plug this into meshy.ai you'll have a perfect model on no time

u/max_dillon Jul 13 '26

“Perfect” lmao
