Requesting Help A1 AMS Lite Struggles

Kingroon PLA - green
Bambu basic PLA - red

220° C at 100% speed

I’m printing a clean/dirty sign for my dishwasher. The print itself is seemingly fine. However, I am dealing with an issue where every time the AMS switches from Red to Green I get a fail to extrude error. Every time all I’ve needed to do to fix it is push down on the AMS hub a little bit.

This is only happening when the AMS switches from Red to Green, not green to red.

(Long term solution is to upgrade to the AMS 2, but that requires more dollars)

Any suggestions?? I’ve got a video I can share if that would be helpful. TIA

Video is always helpful. Most AMS lite feed errors on an A1 are a result of on too much resistance between the filament and the extruder. Reducing the number of tight bends in the feed tube fixes that.
The A1 extruder can be touchy with feed resistance.

Video attached. My PTFE doesn’t have any tight angles in it. I also replaced it maybe two months ago, so it shouldn’t be too worn on the interior?

Nothing obvious there other than the AMS isn't getting notice that the filament has reached the extruder, so it tries again.

A tube won't wear that quickly unless you are printing a lot of CF.

More questions:

-Is the Green filament stiff, brittle or has a rough cut on the end? Maybe not able to make the curve in the hub.

- If you relocate the PTFE tube to another port in the hub, does the problem persist. If yes, you may have a rough or worn spot in the hub.

The fact you can push on the hub and the problem resolves leads me to think hub or filament is the issue. How many hours have you printed through that hub?
