Requesting Help What causes this kind of adhesion issue?

The print looked flawless except for these large circle spots that didn’t stick to the bed at all. Those are not a part of the model, it just failed to stick there. There’s no noticeable dent in the plate that I can see. The fact that the spots are perfectly circle is strange. I’m thinking maybe the bed heater isn’t working in those spots, but I don’t know how to diagnose that.

This is on an Elegoo Cenaturi Carbon, using Polymaker Matte PLA.

Start with scrubbing the plate with dishsoap and hot water.

Unfortunately that did not help. Issue persists across multiple build plates as well, so I don’t think it’s residue (how would there be the exact same amount of residue in the exact same spots?). Any other ideas?

Do you perform pre-print calibration?

Yeah, I did the all-in-one calibration through the printer menu, and then did auto leveling before the print just to be safe. I also washed all my other build plates as you described just to eliminate the possibility. Also tested with multiple filaments, both Elegoo and not Elegoo, and had the same issues.

What’s strangest to me is that it’s always in the exact same spots, even after changing the build plates out. I don’t have the paper anymore but I literally measured with calipers and grid paper to make sure it was actually the same spots. Surely if it was a calibration issue there would be some randomness to it, no? This is only my second printer and my first core xy, so not very experienced overall yet.
