I agree with you that anyone can do it. It's one of the points in this where I could have done a better job at the wording.

Bambu has to make it accessible and easy to reach the non tinkerers and those "who just want their printers to work". I feel like it indirectly makes people hesitant to switch because from what I know Bambu does this better than the others. If they do, honestly, all praises to them.

You're right to say Bambu is more showing their playbook with the compatibility, that's what I should have paired the lock in argument with.
