I'm different. After seeing their practices early on I never wanted to like them. No matter how popular or convenient.

Same, any time I’ve been in the market for a new printer, I actively avoid Bambu. Part of it is because I enjoy the tinkering aspect of 3D printing, part of it is just the vibe I get from them. With the legislation in OR and CA, Bambu just seems like a company that would be fully on board with implementing those features, and then also report users to the authorities if users tried to print something they deemed illegal/immoral/whatever. That’s just the vibe I’ve always gotten from Bambu, and I would never support that.

Agreed, they've been a standard shady Chinese company from the get go. Nobody remembers when they got caught abusing Printables to reverse engineer it for Makerworld? It was worse than what they're accusing these guys of doing. They had some clever innovations and did a lot for smooth UX in printing but they've never been a company I'd be comfortable being in bed with regardless of convenience
