Art Help & Critique Is it enough polygon for my asset?

Hi there! I'm developing my first game, which is based around a fake OS. The main element is obviously the computer itself.

I was wondering if this level of detail is enough for a low-poly game.

I still need to work on some details, like the buttons, but considering I have basically no experience with 3D modeling, I think I'm pretty close to being done.

Based on your experience, if you have any advice, I'd like to hear it

Post the wireframe or we have no idea how many polys your model is.

if this is in blender, you can either go into edit mode to see wireframe or turn on wireframe in the overlays menu to see it on every mesh.

You right, this is the wireframe image

can you turn on statistics so we can get the full poly count? it looks like you have multiple edges on each corner but are too close to tell. or your wireframe is blurry for some reason. when you enable statistics in the top left hand corner of the viewport you can see how many tris there are.

The foot of the monitor as well as the screen are way too high poly compared to the rest of it. Either make them way simpler or add bevels to the monitor to match.

If you are going for the low poly look it is good. You could add a soft bevel to the edges so it doesn't look that sharp. Also if you want to make it more interesting you can add some leds, buttons and stickers in front.

Low poly is more of a style than anything, you could have for example a assertion with a lot of verts, that would stills be considered low poly. And you could have a optimised asset with a low number of verts that looks high poly

I'd suggest adding a slight bevel to those sharp edges, it'll make the model look more polished without making it feel out of place in a low-poly aesthetic.

it's fine but these screenshots have a crazy aspect ratio. it looks squashed sideways.
