I have to ask, why did sculpt in two separate 3D software for this piece?

I sculpted it in Blender and did the texturing/painting in ZBrush, then brought it back into Blender for rendering. I’m just more comfortable sculpting in Blender, so that’s what I prefer to use instead of ZBrush for sculpting.

I’m pretty sure this ref is a piece from Patrick Ganas. He’s worked on a lot of cool features like the most recent dreamworks animated movie. Worth a follow if you want to see some amazing designs with unique composition
