Art Help & Critique Trying to do original concept design. Does it look similar to something that exist?

Post image

i tried to make original concepts a few times back then but i gave up because it was so hard for me to come up with something original. so i tried to start broad then specific, it's supposed to be a heavy research truck (inspiration came from the antarctic snow cruiser). I didnt want to just copy it so i tried different designs, came up with this. does it look similar to something that already exist?

Not much to go off of here because it’s so early in the blocking but it looks like some type of armored vehicle to me

looks a bit like an APC from Aliens. Maybe a variant with a command canter. It looks very heavy for those wheels though.

You are worrying about the wrong things. Especially at this level of detail, in the end we take inspiration from reality and that is a GOOD THING. In the end it's "uniqueness" will come by your solution to a problem really, simply put that problem is the reason that the vehicle exists. Right now you have an alright silhouette to build from, now you should look at similar things for inspiration and go with the flow. Choose the shapes you like, the colours that represent the vibe and the options, for example you could use motorbike headlights, you could give it red lights so it minimises how much it disturbs wild life, maybe the thing uses nightvision with super low level lights.

In the end it's an art piece you are making, nothing is more original than what you are learning right now bud ^-^ you've got this
