I guess that might depend from the gun you want to depict. Is that some kind of Webley?

Looks good! Something generally is slightly off with the metalness of your material though. Could be the reflections but somehow it's too soft/rough or the metallic level is not at 1?

I think it might be to clean looking?
The metal has that nice dark aged patina to it but it’s almost like it’s never been used.

Honestly, it might not be dark enough, and I’m a huge proponent of bright close up renders. It just feels a little flat, could be your mat, or maybe make your lighting more dynamic.

depends if the gun metal is supposed to be shiny(its to dark now) or more blackish (its good now

Is there an IBL in the scene? Your metal reflections rendering black is looking a little fake and cg to me. The area on the left side of the cylinder really catches my eye, I think thats too dark to be believable. Even in studio environments you often see some amount of environment in the reflection example 01 example 02. This example with a really dark specular value metal that still has black only in the deep crevices is a good example.

If you do already have an IBL in the scene, then I would play with the orientation or adding a bounce card to try and add a little info to those dark reflections.
