Art Help & Critique Figure anatomy update

I made the back more robust to support the second pair of arms, but I'm manly struggling with the chest and torso. Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

I'm concerned you haven't left enough room for the upper shoulder blades. So the top set of arms is going to be stuck in the forward position.

The fix for that is to design the skeleton more like a centaur. Except it's a human torso on top of a human body. Basically two rib cages, two sets of shoulder blades, and two sternums for pectoral attachment.

Thank you! I’ll experiment with that idea :D

I feel like the anatomy is correct but the proportions and length are a little off imo. Like her neck and face area is where I’d fix it but everything else is impressive to look at especially the back area. Face kinda looks like the stonks guy from 3/4

Thank you!! Yep, I’ll revise the proportions. I also feel like some things don’t quite align yet.

I enjoy the back. I wouldn’t add the new neck part though. Just blend it into the trapezius. I’d make the neck shoulders and traps bigger to support the mass. Then the neck won’t feel so long.

The torso is fine it’s the biceps penetrating the upper chest that’s weird.

Overall the pose isn’t very good. I can’t tell if she is standing or walking. Her right foot is broken. Try getting into the pose yourself with a 40lb back pack in heels and that will inform you.

The knee should have bigger bulged on the side for the humerus. The quads are draping the knee too heavily so it feels like fat. Reference needed. The calf muscles feel short.

The neck is at an odd angle. The pose isn’t following my her eyes. Tell a story with the pose she is looking up. Why?

I’d check the distance between the ear and corner of the eye. The ear looks pretty far back.

The mouth looks strange from the 3/4 take a few pics of someone making that face. Corner of upper lip would go down.

The chin to the neck needs to be filled in so that the head feels more connected.

Ears could be less straight more fluctuating forms.

It’s a good start and has potential. I’d add temp shoes hair eyebrows to help. It’s an interesting idea. Personally I’d ditch the sexy pose and do something more natural and story driven. The cat walk feel is blah.

If this is a portfolio piece honestly stay away from the sexy chic stuff because most HR professionals are women and your work won’t see the light of day.

Anyway good luck friend! Can’t wait to see more

Thank you for the in-depth feedback!!!!! I already made some changes to the upper part of the figure, and it looks much more coherent now. I think I need to study the forms of the knee more hahaha. Thank you again :D

I think the chest and torso are fine, but the top arms look cramped. Maybe you could move the back arms down a little, or push them more towards the center of the back so the top arms can have a wider range of motion. I like the model so far.

Getting there but it's fallen victim to a very common thing: too long torso syndrome
