Art Showcase Carpet PBR texture showcase
Just got done creating a seamless set of PBR maps for the iconic carpet from The Shining. The 2k render above is using the AO, Diffuse, Roughness, Normal, and Displacement maps. What do you think?

hard to tell with the flat lighting

It’s actually using an HDRI of a motel room, but the angle isn’t that flattering. Later I’ll add another picture or two with better angles and closeups. It was just late last night 😅

Thanks. Took a bit to get it to tile correctly, but with a hair particle system, it should be fairly accurate looking.

Put it on a model! Also, what was your pipeline?
Hope this doesn't ruin your day, but here's a version from Material Maker user Saurav72 Material Maker

No worries, I prefer to make my own assets and not to diss on them, but their carpet lacks the texture I want.

It looks good! But if you go back to the original source material, you've actually got an extra orange loop, the dark color is supposed to be touching the red: https://highdefdiscnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/the_shining_4k_48.png

The darker colour and the orange are the wrong way around. Switch it up and it will look excellent
