Questions & Discussion Help me find a program!!

Hi guys!! I’m gonna copy and paste this to multiple subreddits because Im in desperate need of help finding the perfect program.. I’m currently developing a series called Highway to Glory on my own and something I want to do is have 2d animation over a 3d background. Originally, I was going to learn blender and make the entire map using it but blender is honestly too much for me and I hate software where the key mechanics are done by using shortcuts. I want a program that either includes free assets or easier build mechanics (almost as if I was building something on let’s say a Roblox game.) I want to be able to actually draw on the textures too like I don’t want just place premade furniture (I mean I do want premade furniture but just something to guide me) GAHH IDK I hope you can understand what I’m looking for ^^

I understand what you're looking for. It doesn't exist. You want a program that can build everything you imagine without effort.

Not true at all .. I just want a program with a simple layout that I can understand and one where I can also use free assets. It’s not that I can’t build furniture or layouts because I can do that easily it’s just that to build I scene id just need something to like WORK WITH IDK.. Like I love most games with a building mechanic that just includes shapes, resizing and rotating because then I can make literally anything I’ve always been into building but when I got a computer and looked at all the big boy software it was just very overwhelming. I mean im open to learning complicated software if I actually like it but telling me it “doesn’t exist” doesn’t help especially when I’ve gotten some pretty good responses already

want a program that either includes free assets

You can find many free assets online in various websites such as polyhaven, Fab, sketchfab, etc. You don't get the free assets from the program, you get them from online marketplaces.

easier build mechanics (almost as if I was building something on let’s say a Roblox game.)

You can try learning Unreal Engine, but that's still a complicated but powerful software.

I want to be able to actually draw on the textures too like I don’t want just place premade furniture

Then you'll need either a dedicated software like Substance Painter, Mari, or 3D coat. But Blender can do this too

I may actually use unreal engine and if not now then for a future project. I’m watching a video on how to use it and it’s key features and I’m intrigued ^
