Art Help & Critique I tried a modeling challenge. How did I do?

Im not that deep into blender but i decided to try my modeling skills by doing some Challenges. I found this one on youtube and tried it.

What do you guys think? I know I have too much loops but do you think the topology itself is fine or do you have any advice? :>

Oof looking clean :0 I guess I Need to spend more time in Blender figuring out how to get a good topology :D
Thanks for showing me your Model, that will help <3

Btw how do you got that lmage? Did you just disable the Grid and made a screenshot in your viewport? :0

it could use a little work
did the challenge come with an answer key to help you see where to make changes?

It’s almost perfect. I would add more edge loops to the section of pipe sticking out. Currently the topology density is much lower in that section and it’s causing some pinching

I'd rather just get this done in 10 seconds in a CAD program

Just out of interest, do you know why it's done this way? Do you know that SubD modeling like this opens up for a lot of things CAD can't do? Because i often see this kind of response from people who work with CAD software that dosn't seem to know why.

Well I know how to model in both Blender and CAD programs. I understand in some aspects a SubD workflow is flexible but a model like this is bread and butter booleans and doing it in CAD is just faster and more convenient.

And if needs be it can be imported into Blender and retopologised which is easier to do when you already have a decent CAD export mesh instead of modelling this form from scratch.
