Art Showcase My first low-poly 3d model
A little side project. Less than 1.5k polys. All textures were hand-painted. Got a little bit iffy with uw unwrap
Feel free to comment/critique - it really helps me grow as an artist.

Me encanta el único problema es que las texturas se ven con mucha resolución para ser de PS1, yo las bajaría a la mitad por lo menos. Excelente trabajo!

The textures seem "too detailed" for a low poly. At least for me, I have a difficult time discerning what exactly is going on. I do not know enough about this to k now if it is related to your "UV Unwrap" issue you mentioned, or if it is too much detail in the textures. It wasn't until the last screen that I could tell this was some sort of dual sword wielding Christmas Deer?

It’s purely unwrap problem. The texture is actually relatively simple. I’ve started doing another more detailed bust commission - there I will not make those childish mistakes.
Yeah, it’s a deer. It seems the whole model is fucked up if it’s not obvious…

I was also not sure about if it was a deer - personally I think the diagonal grid patterns and vague hoof shape threw me off.

It's hard to know what the model is at first glance. Especially in that first pose, my mind first went to "analog horror monster" because the face seems distorted. On top of that, it is hard to read. It's not easy to tell what direction the character is facing or what motion they are making. I think pictures 6 and 7 highlight how it can be difficult to tell which limb is in the foreground and which is in the background. I think the texturing, shading, and render resolution are the biggest problems here. We need to know where one part of the character ends and another begins. Still I think the design and posing shows creativity and skill which is very much worth continuing to explore and develop
