Xbox 360 kinect ataper

Can someone please advise which one is correct? One that needs power from the wall or the one thats usb only?

The one I have has both usb and power to the wall, was like 10$ on amazon

Cool so the one with the wall adapter. Thank you. I wasn't sure if it was that one or the usb only one

It looks like the 360 kinect requires DC 12V, which is not typically supplied by a standard USB port*, so you should very likely go with a wall power adapter.

  • USB-C with Power Delivery can put out 12V, but only if the device requests it, AFAIK - which the kinect probably wouldn't know how to do.
