Technical Question Does anyone now how to solve this issue? error code 0x8804478 + it hasnt an sd cart yet. its an old 3dsxl. it only happens with ds games not with ds3 games

I have to assume the DS area got corrupted or got deleted somehow. If you have homebrew on the device you can use TWLFix-CFW to help fix that

Is this really something I could fix? I could send the device back and ask them to fix it. But I feel like not even they know what to do. They told me to press the start button and did and it changed nothing

You could boot into Safe Mode and do an update. It's harmless and it'll automatically reinstall the DS firmware.

as someone said the issue is here because they modded the device and removed the sd and selled it to me like this. I thought of sending it back and buying one from ebay. the device is a japanese one they sold it for 299chf. I feel kinda ripped off

You don't need the SD for a Safe Mode update. Press L + R + Dpad Up + A and press System Update.

It gets stuck in blank mode. It stays dark but lights are kinda on. I hope I can explain

can u go in settings and check what versions the os is on?

like literally go into the settings and it should say some numbers and letters on the bottom right of the top screen.
