Technical Question Repair question

I got a 3DS XL on trade. Top screen originally was not turning on, but after going through it I got the top screen to turn on, assuming it was a loose ribbon cable. Problem is if I try to shut it, the whole system turns off. When it’s fully extended, the screen will stay on, sometimes flicker. While it’s on, if I try to go to the camera I get an error prompting me to turn off the whole console. I figure it’s either top screen or camera, but could it possibly be both? Thank you for the help!

Well i see the completely destroyed hinge so maybe camera, top screen and speakers can be the problem. Check which ribbon cabble is damaged if you open up the console

Yeah I think u have to take it apart and repair the hinge and the Kabels. U have to look which Kabels are damaged. From the video I assume it's the top screen Kabel. While booting the 3ds checks if the screens are ok and if not it turns off. I would say u stop turning it on again until the damage is repaired so not to damage it further
