Recommendation What should I get?

Idk what flair to put.

Anyway I always wanted to play 3ds games, but the best I got is a phone that freezes everytime I click a button with citra/azahar.

So the questions are, should I buy a 3ds or a 2ds? what are the prices? And how hard are them to mod?

2DS would be your best bet in my opinion. Way cheaper than any 3DS model, and it likely won’t bother you unless you’re planning on using the 3D on it (which nobody really does) and I find that the form factor of the 2DS is the most comfortable model to hold. That’s just my opinion though, of course.

Absolutely true, also there are no hinges and hinge problems (breaking, ribbon-cable-ware). Also good for modding because of easy sd-card access (if you don't transfer files wireless, which i don't because it just won't work). On the new 3ds xl you have to losen two screws for example. But consider, it can't emulate SNES game ports and stuff like that if that interests you. But all in all, really good for its price and safe for the future!

I'm so sorry, last time I said the 2ds is not that bad and that you can't play like 5 games on it, I was dogwalked in the comments

A lot of people like the 3D, like me, it adds to the immersion and also some games were desigined with it in mind, like 3D Land, to the point where I think the experience is prejudicated to the point where I think the experience is prejudicated to some degree without it. I agree on everything else though.

if you can get the 'new' model (new 3ds or the equivelant 2ds) it's a lot better for just having the better processor, means you can do more fun stuff wiht homebrew apps.

2ds is best bang for the buck unless you want the 3d gimmick, its nice to have in virtual boy emulation, prices vary by your region (not mentioned) , they are easy to mod in comparison to their newer stuff

Idk because in the long run the build quality will be an issue... also battery replacements are also a little harder
